Well I don't have much to say here, but am kinda tired of looking at that picture of me! I have really been enjoying my dental assisting program. I feel like I finally found something that's right for me. I like it so much, I've been researching dental hygiene programs in the area. I have to finish a few prereqs before I can apply, we'll see. Dan wants me to work for a while first, to make sure I like the dental healthcare field. So far I have found the subject material to be really interesting. We learned how to paper chart tooth decay the other day, which I found really fun! I'm going to try to do my externship at my dentist's office. I would love to do it there & hopefully get hired there, since it is about 2 minutes away from my house. I am also working on my resume, which looks pretty pathetic considering I haven't had a job since I was 18!
We are getting ready for Spring Break & then Easter. Dan is going to take the week off, so we have a lot of fun stuff planned. It will also give us a chance to finish some projects around the house, get our garden ready, & do some much needed spring cleaning. Then my parents are coming to visit & have Easter festivities with us. I am way excited! Should be fun.
Sorry no pictures, I am too lazy to download my camera!!

off to dental school
My dental assisting program starts on Saturday & I am way excited! I really don't even know what brought this on, but it just came to me one day & I started researching it. My mom actually used to be a dental assistant up until she had Darin (my oldest brother). Later on, I will probably do the longer, more difficult, more time-consuming (& more expensive) dental hygiene program, but for now this works for me.
I just kind of wanted to start working part-time since my kids will be in pre-school 3 days a week. I think it's because I got married during my freshman year of college & started our family right away, I never got the chance to finish school or work at all. I honestly didn't think I wanted a career, but at this point I kind of would like to do something like that. I definitely don't regret getting married young & all that though.
I am really happy right now & it will be really nice to have extra money for extracurricular activities for the kids, vacations, & home decor, etc. The program is 3 months long plus a 100 hour residency in a dentist's office. It's Saturdays & Monday/Wednesday nights, so I won't miss my kids much. I just got my new scrubs the other day. I'm looking forward to being able to work in basically pajamas!

agility
I've been thinking about starting Wilby in an agility training class & then maybe we can enter some competitions. It looks like a lot of fun & a good way to keep him in shape. I've found a lot of programs in my area.

Easter Dresses
I just LOVE Easter time! I'm trying to decide on dresses for the girls. I think I'm going to go with this set & have them both match. Doesn't it just look like a perfectly painted Easter egg? Love it!

what we've been up to...
Ok so it has been a while since I've posted! We lost our camera & so we got a new one (which I wanted anyway since we got our old camera back in 04'). So Dan downloaded these pictures off the camera (I still need to learn how to do it). Anyway, this is what we've been doing for the last month. (they are in order beginning from the most recent pictures)

Here we are at the Jazz game (first time w/ the girls) they love the Jazz bear, but said it was too loud (I agree)
Amber, Valerie, & I at the Celine Dion concert, which was AMAZING!
We took Wilbs to a dog park, it was hilarious! Everyone was going ga-ga over him & taking pictures. He had a blast playing with the other dogs!
the wild cousins!
ice cream at thanksgiving point
Kangaroo zoo jump house
Em did not want to go on the slides
tea party
fashion show
Fuddruckers
Logan & Wilby meeting for the first time
they became fast friends, even though Wilbs started mounting Logan (apparently this is normal for puppies who are trying to find their place in the 'pack')
Logan was getting a little annoyed of Wilby who was acting like a pest of a kid brother
Dan taking a cheesy picture of me as 'holly homemaker'
our lil cutie
Valentine's day
we went out to eat & saw pink panther 2 while my mom baby-sat the girls & made pinkalicious cupcakes (you can see those pics on my mom's blog)

I love my dad
It has been a crazy weekend! My dad was rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning & we found out he had some ulcers that were causing internal bleeding. He fainted & lost a lot of blood. He had to get a blood transfusion & stay in ICU for a couple of days. He is doing much better now & will hopefully be released tomorrow. He really scared us all & made me realize how much I love him! You never know what might happen, it's just kind of a wake up call to us all. My dad is the best & it was really difficult to see him in the hospital like that. I'm just glad it wasn't a heart attack or anything. He is pretty healthy & walks their dog everyday, so it was kind of a shock. I guess he needs to stop taking Aleve & change his diet a bit. I'm just so grateful for my family!
