California Trip: Huntington Beach

We had a great time in Southern California for Spring Break! We got to L.A. late Sunday night and went to visit one of my best friends, Becca and her husband. Monday morning we went to Huntington Beach and it was probably the warmest day of the week, which was great! This is the first time the girls had been to the beach. Emma wouldn't go near the waves, El was scared at first, but then couldn't get enough of it!

Jackson Hole, Wyoming

After Yellowstone, we went to Jackson Hole with Dan's family to see the Bar-J Wranglers western show & chuckwagon dinner. It's a tradition of theirs. We toured the town a bit, shopped, took a stagecoach ride, & had lunch with my old pal Jeremiah who is working & performing at the Jackson Hole Playhouse.

Yellowstone

We had such a great time at Yellowstone! I have always loved going to National Parks as a kid, so I figured it was time to continue the tradition with my own kids. We drove up to Idaho Falls first & stayed at my in-laws house for a bit. Then we camped near the west entrance at Madison. It rained a few nights, but our tent stayed nice & dry. It was gorgeous! It was so refreshing to be out in nature & to enjoy the beauty of this country. Very fitting for Independence Day.
