first day of school 2010

Here is our home away from home (luckily just behind our house) we pretty much live here it seems! 8 - 5 Monday through Friday. It's nice that we're all at one place. I love to peek in on the girls and see what they're up to.

stuffed animals

The other night we found Eliska almost suffocated by stuffed animals. We've now limited her to just 3 to sleep with...

first day of school

I felt like crying after I dropped the girls off for their first day of preschool today! I don't know where that came from, but I was hit with a wave of sadness. Anyway, I'm about to pick them up. Hopefully things went well. I keep worrying that Em will pee her pants. The funny thing is, they're in the same class this year! It's a 3 & 4 yr. old combo class, with two teachers. So a lot of the curriculum will be done in separate groups. Anyway, I can't believe my babies are in school! I got so many errands done while they were at school today! It's awesome!

Pre-school Spring Program

So school got out on Friday. We will all miss El's teacher, Miss Heather. We were hoping she would be Em's teacher this fall, but she is moving to Arizona. El is sad that school's out, she has really enjoyed it.

We are bummed that she will miss the Kindergarten cut-off, since she has been doing really well in school this past year. She already finished the 3 & 4 year old programs, so we will be putting her in Challenger's "Jr. K" program, where she will be able to start some of the Kindergarten curriculum.

So Emma will be going to pre-school as well in August, which is really cutting it close for me to put the finishing touches on this whole potty-training ordeal! It is pretty much impossible to potty-train while I'm working full time.

I am going to be changing my work schedule to just 2 days a week at the office & then another part-time gig I got , scheduling dental appointments in the evenings. I'm really looking forward to this, because I hate working full time!!! I miss my kids!

Miss Heather & the girls

don't mind El's hair (Grandma did it :)

the class sang all the songs they've learned over the past few months

the video of all the songs is taking too long to upload...

bike riding

A few weeks ago it was warm enough for the girls to try out their new bikes. Wilby tried out his leash too. He hated it.

just plain cute

I absolutely LOVE Em's dance moves, she is awesome!! I love her leaning on the couch & showing off her lovely arabesque. Hopefully we'll start the girls in Ballet this year. How many falls can you count? She's always so sweet to let me know, "I ok". Of course she had to stop for a little yogurt re-fueling at the end :)

girl stuff

Well I figured I should start learning how to do girl's hair a little, since I have 2 girls! I got inspired by this blog & have actually been having a lot of fun trying new things. I am still very much a beginner. I never did my hair growing up & still don't even blow dry it ever! I am going to go to the craft store & make my own bows, by following this site. My friend, Lolly made all these really cute flower clips that I love!

El's pre-school Christmas program

Santa made a visit to El's class

El's teacher, Miss Heather

here are some video clips of the songs they sang. They sang everything that they've learned so far this year ( I didn't post all of them). It is pretty crazy because they are all shouting!

Oops!

Things are so different this Christmas, now that El is older. She has already accidentally seen 2 presents & they were major ones too! El convinced an unsuspecting Grandpa to open the door to the nursery where her bike was hidden & then I had her get something for me in the basement, not remembering that Dan had moved the bike down there! Then a package came to the door & El always gets them for me, unfortunately the box showed exactly what toy was inside, who does that! I'm trying to find good hiding places, but it is difficult with my little sneek!

no longer babies

I'm starting to realize that I don't have babies anymore! I got rid of all the sippy cups because I can't stand them. I'm like, "Seriously you guys need to start drinking from a cup!" Anyway I'm still trying to get them off their sippy cups during the night, it's like a bottle to them. We are also getting bunkbeds. I have to say, it's pretty nice being out of the baby stage! I probably won't have another one until both girls are in school.

who is this kid!?

The other day, my niece Kass came over to do hair for our family pics(coming soon!) & she straightened Em's curls out just to see what it would look like. I didn't even recognize her, it was weird!! She looks so grown up, I didn't realize how long her hair really was!

fun, fun!

I'm sure a lot of you have experienced the joy of your child taking their diaper off and going potty in the crib. I should've seen this coming, Emma's been taking her diaper off during the day. How smart was I to put her down with no pants on! Poop everywhere in the crib, I've learned my lesson. Back to onesies...
