wee witch weekend

We went to Gardner Village with Grandma & Grandpa before they left to go back to Texas (sniff, sniff). It was a lot of fun, they were having a witch carnival. It was so crowded because of UEA school break, which I had forgotten about.
the girls got Halloween nails (they are obsessed with getting their nails painted)

There were 4 main witches, who were hilarious; this is Matilda. The girls got their autographs.

Here's our wagon ride with witch Lucinda who danced with my dad earlier, highlight of the day for sure!

the girls had to go on the ponies

they loved the petting zoo of course
Thanks mom & dad for the fun day!!

thanks mom!!

Yesterday I had to get some things done & so I called my mom & she offered to take my kids for the whole day! It was like the best day ever! I was able to get a haircut, get some new clothes & stuff for the house- all without my kids running around like crazy! I'm just not used to having my mom live near me, I feel so spoiled!

I know my abc's!

We are very proud of Eliška because she has been working very hard to learn all of her letters & each sound they make in her class at school. They take a little "test" each Monday to see what progress they've made. Yesterday Eliška passed & received her alphabet crown which is quite a big deal to her! She gets her name up on the alphabet board at school too. Now she is working on her blending badge, where she will start to blend a vowel & consonant together in order to start reading. She is very excited & practicing very hard.

Congratulations Eliška!

Logan

We just spent the week dog-sitting for my parents & we miss Logan now! We really loved having a dog around, especially since I grew up with a family dog & it was the best! We are hoping to get a dog of our own in the next month or two, we'll keep you posted!

this is where I found the kids one afternoon
Logan snuck onto the couch the last night & he looked too cute to make him get off!

last week

We had a little party at my parents house for Dan's b-day (he didn't want to be in the picture) my cake kind of fell over a bit from the juice that drizzled down from the raspberries on top
Eliska racing uncle Jeff on mario kart

my mom & I took the girls to Gardner village (we'd never been)

I love gardner village! It is the cutest quaintest little place ever! We could not walk out of there without getting something.

the girls loved all of the Halloween witches they had up

my favorite place was a sewing store called pine needles, they have the cutest fabrics & patterns. I got a really cute apron pattern & a quilt pattern that is a Harry Potter theme.

we tried fried green tomatoes too (they were really good!)
