Logan

We just spent the week dog-sitting for my parents & we miss Logan now! We really loved having a dog around, especially since I grew up with a family dog & it was the best! We are hoping to get a dog of our own in the next month or two, we'll keep you posted!

this is where I found the kids one afternoon
Logan snuck onto the couch the last night & he looked too cute to make him get off!

last week

We had a little party at my parents house for Dan's b-day (he didn't want to be in the picture) my cake kind of fell over a bit from the juice that drizzled down from the raspberries on top
Eliska racing uncle Jeff on mario kart

my mom & I took the girls to Gardner village (we'd never been)

I love gardner village! It is the cutest quaintest little place ever! We could not walk out of there without getting something.

the girls loved all of the Halloween witches they had up

my favorite place was a sewing store called pine needles, they have the cutest fabrics & patterns. I got a really cute apron pattern & a quilt pattern that is a Harry Potter theme.

we tried fried green tomatoes too (they were really good!)

Idaho trip

What I love about Idaho:
*cheese curds
*chocolate milk & ice cream from Reed's dairy

*my brother-in-law, Jeff's farm
*the peace & quiet

*everybody is so laid back

*the potatoes (we had our fill over the weekend)

*hanging out with Dan's family

*it's an easy road trip away

*feeding the ducks on the Greenbelt
*the Idaho Falls temple

We spent the weekend in Idaho with Dan's fam. We went to our nephew's baptism. We came back with a piano, a bed, a dresser, an awesome quilting/craft table, & tons of homegrown vegetables from my in-laws (we've been eating corn every night!). Thanks everyone for all the hand-me-down furniture! Now my living room actually looks like a living room instead of a toy explosion (if you've been to my house, you know). The piano needs to be re-finished & tuned, but I love it & I love all my new stuff from Ikea! Doesn't that Ficus look fake, it was only $20 at Ikea (have I mentioned how much I love that store?) & I'm going to make little pillows for the chairs (I'm really into sewing right now, especially pillows!). I also plan to get a bookcase & 2 more of those chairs (in the adult sizes).

Labor Day Weekend

Busy weekend here, but fun! Friday I had lunch with my old roommate, Brittanie, who was in town & is getting married soon. Then we had a little BBQ at my parents house. Saturday we all went to the BYU game. It was the first time we took the girls & they loved it, they had a blast! We went to the alumni pre-party thing & the girls got their faces painted, won some prizes & watched the cheerleaders perform. Then we walked over to the game with my parents. Sunday we went to my niece's baby blessing (I forgot to take my camera!) & had a little family brunch with Dan's fam. Today we just lounged around since it was raining & relaxed.

first day of school

This is me on my first day of 1st grade I think (I'm in my Girl Scouts uniform) and this is Eliška on her first day of pre-school. She loved it, but it was so weird for me to have her gone! We are very close & have never been away from each other for too long. I was able to do some sewing, so it was kinda nice.

getting ready for school

I have been feeling very sentimental this past week as my baby is starting school! Okay, just pre-school, but still it kind of just hit me that she's like this cute little grown-up almost 4 yr. old! It's just crazy, I never thought I'd make it through those baby days, but here I am now entering the school phase. I can't even think about Em going next year! I know we're both ready for school, but it's still just really strange...

Ok, this is El's FIRST ever haircut! It was very emotional! I saved a lock of hair for her baby book.
the new do (much better, not as scraggley)

a little back to school fashion show

We went to back to school night & got to meet El's teacher, Miss Heather. She is SO excited, she just wanted us to leave!

Magoon!

That's what El calls Lagoon, she has a little trouble with her "L's". We had tons of fun, especially with Kassidy, our niece & best baby-sitter ever! Wicked was SO fun, I love roller coasters! I always get totally freaked out right before, but I always want to ride again afterward! El was non-stop, she HAD to go on every single ride, so funny! Em was tall enough for most of them too. Kass forced us to go on Rattlesnake Rapids & I was happy I didn't get wet- until the waterfall at the end! I had to change I was so drenched!
