The Happiest Place on Earth (Day 2)

The last time I went to Disneyland was 91' & Dan & the girls have never been, so we had a lot of fun. We went to Disney World with my family in 06' so we were familiar with the Magic Kingdom which is pretty much the same as Disneyland. This time was a lot better though because I didn't have a baby to nurse & the kids were able to go on more rides.

We first went to a breakfast with Minnie Mouse & her friends

my 'mini' Minnies

Emma loved seeing all the characters, she would wave & say "hi bebe!" (that's what she calls her stuffed animals)

we saw so many characters!

Captain Hook

Dale

Emma took a lot of naps while waiting in all of the lines

Eliška was so excited to see the castle

Emma was kind of scared of the carousel!

We rode every single ride in Fantasyland! Emma loved Dumbo

Eliška's favorite ride was the tea-cups, we went on them 3 times

the white rabbit's house

it was neat to see Mary Poppins & Bert on the Carousel

Eliška's cheering for Mary Poppins with Alice & the Mad Hatter

nothing better than a kid with ice cream at Disneyland!

that's one happy child!
crazy kid!

waiting for the parade

The parades were my favorite thing, they were all amazing! The girls absolutely loved pointing out all their favorite characters
Tink saying Goodnight!

Our Disneyland Vacation (Day 1)

So, we are back from our first real family vacation & it was the funnest trip ever! I love that the girls are getting old enough to enjoy stuff like this. I hope to go on many more family vacations since they were such great travelers this time! The weather was great too, thank goodness! I just downloaded my camera-311 pictures! So let me warn you about the next few posts! It may be boring to read all the details, but I'm doing it for my own journaling purposes, plus I've gotta do something with all these pictures!!

The girls were shockingly good on the 10 hour trip to California, we only stopped twice

first stop was at this cute little park in St. George (it is SO hot there!)

Emma took a few naps, none for Eliška though

finally arrived at the Disneyland Hotel!

the girls loved our room, with tinkerbell on the ceiling

then dinner by the pool

and swimming!

Eliška loved this little waterslide

Emma really did not like swimming, she just kind of whined the whole time-kind of disappointing, she liked swimming last year!

road trip!

We have been waiting for our trip to Disneyland for a long time now & we are just a little bit excited! We've said we're going for so long that I don't think Eliška really believes us anymore! If you know us, we are totally Disney obsessed, well I have seen more obsessed people actually. Anyway, while shopping for our 10 hour road trip we couldn't resist getting some Disney inspired snacks. You don't even want to see all the other Disney items we got for the trip (shoes, clothes, car toys, etc!) I don't know why we leave everything till the last minute, but of course we spent the day packing. Eliška is very excited about her new suitcase, I'm excited to get a week off of cooking & I hope it's hot in California!

day in the city

Yesterday we had fun in Salt Lake City. We went to Settebello, a Napoli style pizzeria & for dessert we had cannoli for the first time (so yummy!!) at Tony Caputo's (all recommended by Dan's coworker who served a mission in Italy). Then we showed the girls everything at Temple Square (where Dan proposed & where we got married). Eliška says she can't wait to get married in the temple (so sweet)! There's so much to do in Salt Lake, it's nice to be close to a big city.

my buddy

Remember these dolls from the 80's? Well, Emma is definitely my little buddy & Eliška's kid sister! She follows me around everywhere & always has to sit on my lap. I must admit that at times I want my own space, but she is a sweetheart. I loved her outfit today: a onesie, new princess shoes, & a McDonald's necklace around her waist (now that's classy)! I finally took a picture of her after her bath, she always looks so cute in her towel!

the return of "the office"

Tonight, yay!

Branch Wars

Michael Scott: I'm going to cut right to the chase here. Do you like magic? Because I am a genie in a bottle and I am going to grant you three wishes. To move to Scranton, to have a great job, and to be my best friend.

Andy Bernard: The Finer Things Club is the most exclusive club in this office. Naturally it's where I need to be. The party planning committee is my backup. And Kevin's band is my safety.

Oscar: What are you microwaving!
Phyllis: Popcorn.
Pam: Why don't you use the microwave in the kitchen Phyllis?
Phyllis: Someone needs to clean it, it smells like popcorn.

[over the radio]
Dwight Schrute: We are in the stairwell. We are climbing some stairs. I am breathing heavily.
Jim Halpert: Okay you know what, you really don't need to be updating me as much as you're updating me.

Karen: I cried for weeks over that guy so yeah. Seeing him climb out of a PT Cruiser in a ladies warehouse uniform... it felt pretty good.

day at the zoo

We love the Zoo, we always get an annual pass. Friday was our first trip this year.

(yes, Emma is biting right through the orange peel)
