Lunchtime

I'm running out of ideas for lunches that Eliška will actually eat. I know it's normal to have a picky 2 year-old. What do you guys do for lunches (ages 2 - school aged)?

Target's Dollar Section

I totally raided Target's dollar section the other day! It's at the front of the store and I can't help but stop there every time I go in. They always have different themes, this last time was Sesame Street, which Eliška has totally gotten into lately. I got some really cute little hair ties, stickers, and board books. I usually spend like $20 just on dollar items. They have some really cute little Easter things that I'm going to get next time for Easter basket fillers.Previously, I've gotten Curious George stuff, little wooden trains, toy food, and Hello Kitty stuff. We got all our stocking stuffers from this aisle for Christmas. The stocking stuffer IQ tests we got were a big hit actually. You know those little metal puzzles that you have to get apart. Dan and I were timing each other to see who could do it the fastest, it was actually quite fun. Although, Dan had to first show me how to do each one!

Makin' Pizza

Eliška made her first pizza here almost entirely by herself! She had so much fun. If you haven't tried this with your kids, it's a lot of fun. We like the Boboli pre-made crusts (less work!), you can get them at almost any grocery store.

Sleep Deprivation

I'm so tired! No, exhausted. Emma has been keeping me up all night now since Christmas, due to teething. Last night she woke up every 2 hours. She just got her 3rd tooth and I can't wait for the 4th. If I can remember right, it's the first 4 that are the hardest. It's seems to let up a lot after that. Anyway, I don't mean to complain, just vent! Eliška has been very naughty lately too, climbing on the counters and writing all over herself with pens. She stole my chapstick yesterday and smeared the entire tube all over her face and arms and ate some of it I'm sure. I just can't wait to sleep through the night again! Maybe then I can function like a normal person and actually clean my house! Thank goodness for nap time! I'm just trying to relax right now while watching "Wild Hearts Can't be Broken". Love that movie, it reminds me so much of you, Valerie and how we used to always watch it, good times!
