Yellowstone

We had such a great time at Yellowstone! I have always loved going to National Parks as a kid, so I figured it was time to continue the tradition with my own kids. We drove up to Idaho Falls first & stayed at my in-laws house for a bit. Then we camped near the west entrance at Madison. It rained a few nights, but our tent stayed nice & dry. It was gorgeous! It was so refreshing to be out in nature & to enjoy the beauty of this country. Very fitting for Independence Day.

we packed our car to the brim
smores! best part of camping

Just walking down the trail & boom! a bison right there in the middle. Looked pretty cool in the steam.

old faithful was worth the wait

El got to become a Jr. Ranger & receive a special wolf patch
trying on a real wolf pelt

tons of elk everywhere

this archway is over 100 years old
"For the benefit and enjoyment of the people"
we wanted to see a bear so badly! Finally saw one, not the best picture, sorry!

Looks so cool. I know I went to Yellowstone as a young girl but I don't remember much. We are hoping to go next summer. I will have to talk to you more about your trip.

Okay, the next time you go on a family vacation, you will have another passenger, ME! I am soooo jealous, and someday I will go too. I'm holding back the tears. I am glad you had so much fun, it looks so pretty and beautiful.
