snow day

We got a TON of snow yesterday, so we decided to get out the snow gear & play a bit!

Emma toppled over & gave up on getting back up
Emma's first time playing in the snow, she didn't want to move much

Eliška didn't want to go back inside

24

I don't know why, but I have really liked being 23. I don't know, 24 just sounds old to me. I know this is absurd of course! Anywho, it was a fun b-day weekend. Dan & the kids definitely spoiled me like crazy! Dan surprised me by taking work off for my b-day & I woke up to pretty flowers, cards, gifts & a breakfast at Cracker Barrel (yum). Then Sat. we tried to go out to our fav ice cream place, Leatherby's in Provo, but they have shut down! So sad, they had the biggest, best banana splits. So we went to Olive Garden instead (I love their lemon cake). And today Dan surprised me again with a yummy ice cream cake from Coldstone! I feel so special, I'm starting to like 24...p.s. thanks for all the cards & well-wishing!

funny phrases

I love the way Eliška says certain things...

Hawk-a-meer-meer (Hamburger)

"Can we ride the alligator?" (elevator)

"Scoop over!" (scoot over)

pack-pack (back-pack)

"I need a clean-ups" (kleenex)

pinanno (piano)

"my hello" (pillow)

apple-jacks (apple juice)

"Mommy, will you take care of me?" (I could not figure this one out for the longest time! I started getting worried after constantly reassuring her that I would always take care of her. Finally Dan figured out that she was saying, "Will you carry me?")

I can't believe...

I have a kid in Primary!! Time flies, eh? Emma officially started nursery today too. My kids are growing up too fast! It was nice having church @ 9 am today, now we can go home for nap time, yay! We also now have the younger nursery class. Let me tell you, they are sweet little angels compared to the older group! Not a single fight to break up or anything.my little sunbeam & nursery baby!

Happy New Year!

We had a great 07' & are excited for a new year. We had a lot of fun New Year's Eve w/ our annual Kondel Family game night. I totally rocked Disney Scene it & Mad Gab! It was such a fun Christmas break, I am sad that Dan is back at work. We had fun being lazy & playing our new wii. Let me just say, I stink at all video games! That's why I like the wii system, I can actually do it- even Eliska can! It's really fun & family friendly. It gives you a report each day of everything that was played & for how long, so you can monitor your kids, along w/ other parental controls. It also has the weather, news, & a digital photo thing you can tinker around with. I actually got quite a workout from doing the boxing match, I could barely finish it (someone needs to get in shape...) my arms were totally sore the next day!

sweet song

I really like this song by Colbie Caillat, called "Capri". I'm partial to it, since it's about having a little baby girl.

Christmas Highlights

We had a great Christmas day & are now enjoying relaxing & being lazy, since Dan is off till January 2nd (yay!). The girls had way too much candy, which resulted in Eliška "tossing her cookies" all over Dan while we were at his brother's house last night! Dan's parents brought us some Kolac (a Slovak pastry) & their famous rice crispy treats w/ fudge (yum). I have enjoyed getting everyone's Christmas cards, I've been a total flake & didn't get one out this year (sorry!). Anyway, hope you all have a Happy New Year!

Crooked Oak Ranch

We just got back from visiting my parents in Texas. This is the last Christmas there, since they are moving to Utah in April (yay!) We were trying to think of names for the ranch because it just sounds cooler to have a name for it! My dad thought of 'Crooked Oak' because of all the Oak trees, but crooked kind of has a negative connotation, so we're still brainstorming. The weather was great, I didn't even need a jacket! Anyway, here are some pics & videos (warning: there are a lot of em'! My mom wanted to see them all, so this is for you!)
Eliska is in love with Logan (their new dog)
thanks mom for all the great meals! Plus I finally got some of my grandma's secret recipes!

My parents gave all the grandkids cabbage patch kids because my sister & I used to get them for Christmas

Emma loved sitting on this window sill

making gingerbread houses

we didn't wait long enough & all of our roofs fell off!

I LOVE my nieces Callie & Kenzie! I hardly ever get to see them, so we had a lot of fun
